The Riviera Slope Project is an iconic architectural development proposed for Batumi, Georgia. The development is defined by a dominant slope that joins the landscape along the new promenade and rises at and approximate angle of 8 degrees to the horizontal. The upper deck of the Slope is to be used as an outdoor area for congregation, events and specifically an outdoor Cinema. The development also has area programmes related to an indoor 3D cinema, cafes, restaurants and bars. The structural frame is an innovative reinforced concrete grillage system designed to reduce the overall weight of the structure whilst keeping the edges as "thin" as possible.
