Located on the S C Johnson headquarters campus in Racine, Project Honor creates two companion buildings; Fortaleza Hall and a Community Building, which together will give the campus buildings a new social heart.
The development site is located adjacent to Frank Lloyd Wright's renowned 'Johnson Wax' building and research tower. The structure is a radial arrangement of steel trusses, which taper significantly to give a very thin appearance to the roof. The façade is hung from the roof structure via a tensioned steel system, which works to resist wind loads using minimal vertical structure to maximise the transparency of the hall.
