Designed with Architects of Invention, the striking Municipality Building located in the new city of Lazika, Georgia, is a landmark building designed to spearhead the development of a whole new city with major regional significance.
The structural frame of the building is constructed from steel, utilising a series of raking steel columns to produce the dramatic floated upper platform. Challenges include the seismic conditions and the sympathetic employment of local skills to achieve what will be an iconic statement of architectural ambition.
