Engineering Disciplines: Advanced Timber Egineering

Designed by David Miller Architects, the project involved the redevelopment of an existing primary school, with nursery and reception classes in Hillingdon. The new 480 pupil building unlocks the site and enabled new MUGA and sports pitches to introduced.

David Miller Architects and Engenuiti worked together to model the building using BIM, which enabled close knit coordination at the detailed design stage.

The structural framing was in cross laminated timber with steelwork in the double height spaces. Visual spruce was selected for wall panels and soffits to expose the CLT.
